Outstanding Student Librarian Award

The Outstanding Student Librarian Award recognizes one student in each library program within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who best exemplifies the qualities of leadership and dedication to profession of school librarianship.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must be enrolled in a college or university and majoring in library science.
  • The applicant must have a 3.0 grade point average.
  • The applicant must demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and the potential to be a future leader in PSLA.
  • The applicant must demonstrate an interest in professional action.
  • The applicant must show dedication to the field of school library as a profession.
  • The applicant must have graduated in December of the year following the award or is finishing in May of the year the award is given
