Distinguished Service AwardThe Distinguished Service Award (previously named the Outstanding Contributor Award) recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the field of school library programs in Pennsylvania. 2021- Allison Mackley
Allison Mackley’s extensive contributions to the school library field highlight her curious nature and devotion to celebrating and advancing the field. Her accomplishments are truly extensive; just a few of them include: serving as president of PSLA, being a National Board Certified librarian, and being a 2017 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year finalist. She has written, taught, and spoken in many capacities about education, technology, and libraries and has been involved in numerous library and education organizations and committees.
