Regional Coordinator Information

What is a Regional Coordinator?

  • A PSLA member who is willing to contact other school librarians in their region about important issues.

 

Duties of a Regional Coordinator:

  • Establish an e-mail contact list for all school librarians in their region.
    • Possibly have one contact per school district with that person being responsible for notifying other school librarians about the issue.
  • Contact new school librarians in the region.
    • Invite them to join PSLA and become active in the organization.
    • Offer to be or identify a resource person for any new school librarians in your region.
  • Promote PSLA membership to school librarians in your region.
  • Alert school librarians in your region of upcoming events such as the annual conference or workshops offered by PDE and PSLA.
