“Me? A School Librarian?” Contest

In an effort to address the problem of acute shortages in the library profession, PSLA has expanded recruitment efforts to include high school students. This contest is one aspect of that effort.

Previous “Me? A School Librarian?” Contest Winners

Criteria:

  • All entries need to be accompanied with a letter of reference by the school librarian who must be a current PSLA member. This letter should verify that the essays are original works by the student.
  • The winning student's librarian will be responsible for
    • Transporting the student to and from the conference
    • Abiding by the school?s overnight field trip guidelines
    • Assisting the student with registration forms
    • Directing students to the initial meeting
    • Attending main functions as honored guests with the student
    • Submitting mileage to PSLA for reimbursement
    • Reviewing the student article for Learning and Media
