Criteria for Nominating

 

Criteria for Selection

 

Titles to be considered for the master reading list are generally nominated by the Pennsylvania Young Reader's Choice Award Program Committee, but nominations may be submitted by students, teachers, librarians, parents or any one who is interested in promoting reading.

 

Each book must meet the following criteria:

1. It must have a copyright date within five years of the awards presentation.

2. It must be written by an author currently living in North America

3. It must be appropriate to the reading/interest level of students in grades K - 12.

4. It must be of recognized literary quality.

5. It may be fiction or nonfiction.

Please include your name, address, and position.

All nominations should be submitted by SEPTEMBER 1 in order to be considered for the following year.
