Regional Leaders Academy
PSLA & the University of Pittsburgh Announce the 2017-2018 Regional Leaders Academy
If you’re a school librarian working in Pennsylvania with at least one year of experience (not including the 2016-2017 school year), PSLA and the University of Pittsburgh have a “once-in-a-professional-lifetime” opportunity for you to:
Build your leadership, communication, and presentation competencies in 2017-2018 with a cohort of like-minded librarians who can reach out to librarians in their regions
Position yourself as a recognized leader in your region, your school and district, and your professional associations.
Through an LSTA grant from Commonwealth Libraries of the PA Department of Education, Pitt and PSLA will offer the first Regional Leaders Academy (RLA) to 24 school librarians from across Pennsylvania by building on the success of the 2014 and 2015 Emerging Leaders Academies in which 44 librarians early in their careers participated and the 2016-2017 Sustaining Leaders Academy in which 23 experienced librarians are now participating.
Please click here for detailed information, the application, and the rubric for selection and administrator endorsement form. If have any questions, please contact Mary Kay Biagini quickly at firstname.lastname@example.org
The deadline for applications is Monday, February 6, 2017, @ 11:59 p.m.
We encourage you to consider applying. Your RLA experience will be an investment in your career and provide you unique opportunities for you to grow professionally.
