PSLA Outstanding Contributor Award

The Outstanding Contributor to  Library Media Program Award is presented to recognize a person who has made outstanding contributions to the field of Pennsylvania school library media programs.

Criteria

  1. The outstanding contributor award may be given to an individual for either one specific outstanding or unusual contribution to school library information programs statewide or for collective contributions which have had an impact on all school library information programs in Pennsylvania.

  2. Length of service alone is not a criteria, however, a recipient of this award should have served long enough to have made a significant statewide contribution (minimum three years experience required). At the time of the award, the person need not be serving in the position in which he/she made the contribution for which he/she is being nominated.

  3. No one shall receive the award during a year in which he/she is serving on the Board of Directors of PSLA, or serving as a member of the Awards Committee.

  4. Recipient may be a librarian (must be a PSLA member), administrator, school board member, or Office of Commonwealth Libraries staff.

  5. If nominee’s district has received the Outstanding Program Award from PSLA or the Individual School Library Award from PSLA within the last three years, he/she is not eligible for the Outstanding Contributor Award.
