Jack R. Luskay Memorial Scholarship

The Jack R. Luskay Memorial Scholarship will send an honoree to the PSLA Conference. Jack R. Luskay helped found the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association. He became the chief designer of its organizational structure and architect for its annual conference. No scholarship could have greater meaning as a lasting memorial to him.

In 2017, a scholarship of $514 will be awarded to be used toward transportation, registration fee, membership dues, and hotel/meal expenses for the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association Conference.

Criteria

In order to apply for this scholarship, a candidate must:

  • Be a practicing or prospective school librarian enrolled in a school library certification program in the state of Pennsylvania (one year minimum residence required).
  • Be able to demonstrate personal or district/organization financial need.
